# Share an HTML report with your team and collect their comments

> Your agent wrote a report as HTML, with tables and charts. Send your team one link, let them comment on any number or sentence, and have the agent revise it from their feedback.

## The problem

Agents write good reports as HTML: tables, charts, a summary up top. Sending one around is awkward. Attached as a file, it cannot be updated, and each fix means a new attachment. Pasted into a document editor, it loses the charts and the layout. Feedback ends up in chat threads and emails the agent never sees.

## How it works with Onlay

```
onlay push q3-report.html -m "First draft for the team"
```

Post the link in Slack or email; it unfurls with the title, the first paragraph and a picture. Your team opens it in a browser and comments on a number, a chart, a sentence or a whole section. No account is needed to comment unless you restrict the document; a reader types a name and an email once. You get one email a few minutes after the comments arrive, not one per comment.

When you are ready, tell your agent to pull the feedback:

```
onlay pull q3-report.html
```

It gets each thread with the quoted words or the pinned element, who said it, and every reply. It revises the report and publishes version 2 at the same link. Readers see what changed, and the agent's answer appears in each thread they started.

## Who can see it

The link is random and never listed, and search engines are told not to index it. By default anyone with the link can read and comment. On every plan you can restrict a document to the people you invite by email, each as viewer, commenter or editor. Pro adds share links: a second address for one audience, with its own role, password and expiry.

## Letting people fix it themselves

Turn editing on (`--edit collaborative`, or in the dashboard) and a teammate can rewrite a sentence directly. Editors sign in, so every edit has a name. Your agent gets each edit as the old text and the new, applies it to the source, and the next push confirms it. [More on editing in place](https://onlay.io/use-cases/fix-wording-in-place).

## When something else fits better

If the report will become a living document that the team keeps editing for months, put it in your shared editor. Onlay fits review rounds: the agent drafts, people react, the agent revises.
